The time has finally come. The hour of Brick Mower's long-awaited debut LP is nigh upon us. And when you unsheath the vinyl from within its yellow cardboard jacket, thine face twill be melted. Really, though, for the people who are tired of all the dark-wave Danish punk bands and beach-folk weed hounds and disco revivalists and ambient landscape bullshitters and snyth-pop sailors and just want to hear some fucking indie rock the way it should be done? This, my friends, is for you. The band has taken their time getting their debut LP together, and their decision to cut their teeth, so to speak, on several cd-rs, tapes, 7"s, and EPs over the past couple years has resulted in the strongest, catchiest, and most satisfying set of songs that any fan could hope for. BM has been compared early and often to Dino Jr., Pixies, Guided By Voices, and the like. And, yeah, there are similarities between BM and the past greats of indie rock, but it's more than that - Brick Mower is the next in line in the history of the genre. With these 11 new songs, Brick Mower hath made their presence known to the world, and they shall be heard. Under the Sink is pressed in an edition of 300 copies - 180 on black, and 120 on randomly colored vinyl. Pro-printed sleeves. Mailorder customers will automatically be given a colored vinyl copy until stock runs out or unless requested otherwise. Also, for some amount of time, we're offering up a Brick Mower bonus pack, wherein you can add any available release to your Brick Mower order for $4 more. You can add an extra copy of Under the Sink (why not pick one up for a friend?), or Railcars CWNE 12" LP, or Banned Books "Mission Creep" LP. Just let me know which one you want in the paypal comments section. While supplies last! |

![]() Side A 1. XXXmas (Banned Books) 2. Cystic Crisco Lipstick Christmas (Granny Frost)[MP3] Side Eh? 1. Under a Christmas Star (Hoop Dreams) 2. Do You Hear What I Hear? (Fuck Montreal) |
I would just like to say that I am proud of all Stumparumper releases, and love them equally. We've had a crazy first year (well, it'll be a year in February), and I think we've put out some really nice stuff by top-notch bands. But, this. THIS. This just too damn good. I asked these bands to come up with a Christmas song, original or otherwise, and they all delivered on a level about 6 stories higher than I had ever hoped. Banned Books kicks things off with a punk song about what might or might not happen with the snowman sitting in your front yard. Granny Frost turns up the bass fuzz for a scathing (and non-sequitur) take on the holiday season. Hoop Dreams rocks from the perspective of Joseph, step-father of Jesus, and Fuck Montreal close it out with their rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear?". Front cover art by the enigmatic MC Nugget, back cover by the H.A.N.S.! I sincerely hope you all enjoy this - it's perfect ending to a very tumultuous and, at times, frustrating year. But we done good. Thanks bands and loyal customers! See you all in the '10s. This 7" record is been pressed in an edition of 300 with the first 100 on RED (or kinda reddish-pink) vinyl (mailorder only). There are three "colorways": all 100 red vinyl have a green sleeve, 50 black vinyl have a green sleeve, and 150 black vinyl have a red sleeve (all sleeves hand-numbered). If you're getting more than one (and really, why not?) just let me know in the paypal comments box which kind you'd like. |

![]() Side A 1. Alarm Clock 2. France 1954 [MP3] 3. Winter Mange 4. Pluto Side B 1. The Rabbits 2. Beachglass 3. I Pour Bees on Myself |
"Winter Mange" is Fuck Montreal's debut vinyl release after countless previous releases on just about every other kind of media available (tape, cdr, vhs, who knows what else?), and it's a stunner. Over 14 minutes of music is crammed onto this small platter, taking full advantage of a format that is too often relegated to carrying 4 minutes of music...TOTAL. This is rare music - one reviewer compared FM to Blood on the Wall, the Swirlies, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Harvey Milk, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth, and the Unicorns, all in a single review. It is music that comes from a space that you or I can't know...it has always been here, and will still be around for download after everyone's gone. There is nothing in the way except the sound. This 7" record has been pressed in an edition of 300 with the first 100 on RED/PINKvinyl (mailorder only). The sleeves have been printed and hand-painted by the band and come with a hand-numbered insert. |

![]() Side A 1. Life of Saint Edmund (Ponds) 2. Castles [MP3] 3. Passion of Saint Edmund (Rebirth) 4. Passion of Saint Edmund (Miracles) Side B 1. Cathedral With No Eyes 2. Martyrdom of Saint Edmund (End) |
"Cathedral With No Eyes" is the second proper release by Railcars. In this record, LA/SF based multiple-instrumentalist Aria Jalali recounts the life of Edmund the Martyr, a 9th century king of East Anglia with songs about his life and succession to the throne as a young boy, his conquests, his suffering at the hands of vikings and death by their arrows. This time around railcars make an attempt to more accurately recreate the whirling, dizzying fury of their live performances, flowing continuously yet shifting without warning, translating the story of St. Edmund into walls of noise, sputtering drum machines, dying electronics, and tales told in distant shouts. This record is pressed on 140 gram black vinyl and features full color pro-printed jackets and full color labels with artwork by Claudia O'Steen. Also included is an MP3 download card of the album. The first 100 orders will also receive an exclusive, hand-numbered, 8.5"x11" Railcars poster and a 1" pin featuring the album art. |

This is Banned Books' debut album. It is a 24 minute musical masterpiece. They're a rock band, but none like you've ever heard. Superb songwriting, brilliant production, and awesome musicianship make for a really really fantastic album. Total power trio. The entire thing is pure, rockin joy, but they still have a control of nuance like no other band I've ever heard. Find me another band like this and you win a prize. But don't try because you won't find one. "There’s just a massive amount of sounds and ever changing instrumentation [...] full of experimental multilayered Deerhoof genius, with Les Savy Fav’s style vocals and surprising all out rocking." - Jason Dean, 7inches Edition of 300 12" vinyl records housed in thick, 100% recycled and hand screen-printed paper sleeves. Includes MP3 download card of the album. |

6 songs, nearly 13 minutes of music
made especially for Scribbler's extensive Canadian tour in March.
One side beautiful and moving folk, the other an electrified aural
thrashing of your senses. Is it really the same band? This
long-playing 7" does an excellent job of evoking the excitement of
seeing the band live or at work with a 4-track - the rawness of the
music, the snide comments of the audience, and the emotion put forth
by the band. One is able to hear the many sides of Scribbler on
only 2 sides of wax.
Edition of 300 (half of which went to the band) on black vinyl with
hand-silk-screened and numbered jackets and hand-drawn labels. Plus
some secret messages scrawled into the wax. 4 copies left |

Have you heard of François Virot? I hope you have. François is a brilliant songwriter from Lyon, France. He is excellent on his own, but his new Reveille project in which he is joined by drummer and singer Lisa Duroux, is somehow even better. The songs are uplifting, but are tinged with a hint of forlorn sadness that is so unheard of in American pop music. The musicianship is tremendous, especially Lisa's hypnotic, precise drumming. Such an outstanding album, made even more tremendous by the fact that it's a debut album. C38 cassette dubbed in real-time in a numbered edition of 50 with full-color j-cards. LP version coming soon on Clapping Music (France) - we will be getting copies for the distro! |

Rebecca's Room hails from New Waterford, Nova Scotia. They are like your quintessential ladies' men, but like in musical terms. There are some hazy acoustic ballads on this tape, but there are also a whole lot of tracks that rock out with divine authority. Mostly the latter, actually. These guys are really good song writers, and that's what you get here - songs, and good ones. Check out the free download to your left. Make your own comparisons, and then get this tape! They have a 7" lathe coming out on Scotch Tapes soon so keep an eye out. C38 cassette dubbed in real-time in a numbered edition of 50. Full color j-cards. |

![]() Track listing: 1. Intergalatic Singalong 2. Man Maker 3. Human Head 4. The Meat That Eats Itself [MP3] 5. Your Dress |
Us Banned Books fanatics have been waiting for a full year for a follow-up to their debut LP 'Mission Creep'.
Counting "XXXmas" from the Holiday 4-Way 7", BB have given us 9 brilliant, never-gets-old gems; with 'Man Maker',
they've given unto us 5 more. BB fans, this is your day. The new tracks on this CD are just like way too good.
The BB boys balance racous, balls-out rock (see: 'Meat That Eats', 'Intergalactic Singalong')
with mellow but high-tension crooning (title track, 'Your Dress') and a little extra weirdness/experimentation ('Human Head').
The sequencing, playing, recording, and packaging is all tops on this one. A full album is in the works - but this masterpiece
is more than a hold over. The 'Man Maker' CDep is actually a real, professionally manufactured CD (not a cdr) and comes in an ecowallet case. 1000 copies made. |

![]() Side GF: 1. Weird God 2. Seed of Chaos Side BM: 1. Cul de sac 2. Garden Variety |
Y'all know Brick Mower and Granny Frost. Two boss bands that have a home on Stumparumper. Granny throws down a bad-ass, hyper-intelligent rap in "Weird God", then lays down a nice update on an older, pre-Granny Frost track, "Seed of Chaos". Brick Mower grace us with two more rockin' gems, both of which are NOT found on the Floors cassette. A righteous piece of vinyl Numbered edition of 300 7" black vinyl records. Includes insert. The 7th release on the Viking on Campus label. |
